Problem: After implementing Single Sign On (SSO) some end users reported getting the following error "Authentication failed due to problem navigating to the single sign-on URL." when trying to connect to the Virtual Private Network (VPN) using the Cisco AnyConnect software. Cause: Antivirus or firewall software is blocking access to the Single Sign On server. Solution: Unblock all instances of Cisco Anyconnect software components within the antivirus / firewall settings. If you are unable to define custom settings, then you should try disabling the antivirus / firewall software when needing to use the VPN. Remember to re-enable protection as soon as possible after using the VPN. As a last resort you can completely remove / uninstall the antivirus / firewall software.
